Q: Porsche Performance Questions?
I have a few Porsche Motors Cars. I have a 2001 Boxster, 2007 911 GT2, 1994 911 C4, and a 1967 911. I was want to know if there are any superchargers or turbocharger kits for a standard 2.7L Boxster. I know many people view these as just beginner cars, but I enjoy driving them around the countryside. I have a lot of hills and corners to drive so it makes the Boxster fun. It just lacks the power for those straightaways that I do encounter. Any other performance ideas??? Thanks in Advance.

A: There are kits available, though there is always going to be a question as to the wisdom or practicality of such an upgrade. Even more so in your case: if you are in the mood for wanting to open it up with more power, you might want to consider driving the GT2 instead?

Q: How much would it cost for a 911?
Yea I'm looking at this 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 for 26,000 dollars, how much could I negotiate this down to? 23.6k for dealer trade in, can I get lower than that?

A: That is a good price. I worked at a car dealership a few months ago. We had an 1999 Porsche Carrera 2 for $31,000. The one you are looking at is cheaper and newer and has AWD, which is supposed to cost more.

Q: Jaguar XJR 2001 model X308?
Is this considered to be a cool car? I have seen it in black driving around my town. I saw it drive off from the lights and completly beat a porsche 911. Is that possible for a Jaguar saloon or has it got a non-jaguar engine in it? Many thanks. P.s It looks awsome in black and I love the wheels.

A: i used to drive for jag dealer, the four litre version did 0-60 in 5.3 seconds, its a supercharged vee 8 engine, built by ford when they owned jaguar. The 4.2 litre is a touch quicker, top speed 155. they have amazing acelleration at any revs

Q: What do you think of these gifts given by the American Auto Makers?
after 911 Ford, GM & Chrysler ---- INTERESTING....maybe the country should consider bailing them out to some degree Nothing needs to be said.. Ford, Chrysler and GM's contributions after 9/11 An interesting commentary...You might find this of interest: 'CNN Headline News did a short news listing regarding Ford and GM's contributions to the relief and recovery efforts in New York and Washington . The findings are as follows..... 1. Ford- $10 million to American Red Cross matching employee contributions of the same number plus 10 Excursions to NY Fire Dept. The company also offered ER response team services and office space to displaced government employees. 2.. GM- $10 million to American Red Cross matching employee contributions of the same number and a fleet of Vans, SUV's, and Trucks. 3. Daimler Chrysler-$10 million to support of the children and victims of the Sept. 11 attack. 4. Harley Davidson motorcycles- $1 million and 30 new motorcycles to the New York Police Dept.. 5. Volkswagen-Employees and management created a Sept 11 Foundation, funded initial with $2 million, for the assistance of the children and victims of the WTC. 6. Hyundai- $300,000 to the American Red Cross. 7. Audi- see VW 8. BMW - Nothing. 9. Daewoo - Nothing. 10. Fiat - Nothing. 11. Honda - Nothing despite boasting of second best sales month ever in August 2001 12. Isuzu - Nothing. 13. Mitsubishi - Nothing. 14. Nissan - Nothing. 15. Porsche - Nothing. Press release with condolences via the Porsche web site. 16. Subaru - Nothing. 17. Suzuki - Nothing. 18. Toyota - Nothing despite claims of high sales in July and August 2001. Condolences posted on the web site . Whenever the time may be for you to purchase or lease a new vehicle, keep this information in mind. You might want to give more consideration to a car manufactured by an American-owned and / or American based company. Apart from Hyundai and Volkswagen, the foreign car companies contributed nothing at all to the citizens of the United States ... It's OK for these companies to take money out of this country, but it is apparently not acceptable to return some in a time of crisis. I believe we should not forget things like this. Say thank you in a way that gets their attention...

A: thanks for posting that. I'm a union Ironworker and only buy American (chevy) If you pulled up on a job site in a rice burner it would get trashed.
